JJ is the Camp Leader at Morpeth Holiday Camp, bringing nearly 20 years of teaching and coaching experience in education and sport. His career includes teaching PE at a prestigious international private school in Dubai, as well as leading PE across both primary and secondary schools in Northumberland. Alongside his school-based roles, JJ has successfully managed and delivered a range of holiday camps at Jesmond Park Academy, Royal Grammar School, and Darras Hall Primary School, building a reputation for creating fun, engaging, and high-quality experiences for children.
As a family, we created Morpeth Holiday Camp with a clear vision: to provide children with the opportunity to Play, Move and Learn during the school holidays in a safe, active, and inspiring environment. Julie, JJ’s wife, shares a strong passion for keeping their two children active, engaged, and learning outside of the classroom, which is why Morpeth Holiday Camp is proudly a family-run business at its heart.
We are committed to giving local families a holiday camp experience they can trust and rely on.
Our Mission
Less than 50% of primary-aged children in the North East get the recommended 60 minutes of daily activity—and during school holidays, this drops even further. Too much screen time can affect not just their health, but their confidence, focus, and social skills.
Morpeth Holiday Camp keeps kids moving, learning, and having fun! Our multi-sport activities help children stay active, make new friends, and develop physically, socially, and cognitively — all in a safe, supportive environment.
